snapSEC GmbH is an Austrian cybersecurity company based in Vorchdorf, Upper Austria, founded in 2019. snapSEC works for organisations of all sizes in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and combines three business units: its own blacklens.io platform for attack surface management, ACDC – Active Cyber Defense Center for 24/7 cyber defence, and consulting with penetration testing, red teaming, social engineering, cloud security assessments and managed SIEM.

The managing directors of snapSEC GmbH are Michael Karl and Christoph Wieser. Michael Karl founded the company and is also managing director of Active Cyber Defense Center Service GmbH, which operates ACDC. Both managing directors hold indirect stakes in snapSEC GmbH through their holding companies. The company is entered in the commercial register of the Regional Court of Wels under FN 517771 d; its VAT ID is ATU74654117.

blacklens.io is a platform of snapSEC GmbH, developed and operated by snapSEC itself. snapSEC built ACDC – Active Cyber Defense Center together with A-Team Rocks and launched it in November 2022. ACDC is operated by Active Cyber Defense Center Service GmbH, a sister company at the same address in Vorchdorf. On snapsec.at we present all three business units together.

Our team brings more than 20 years of experience in IT security. The company itself was founded in 2019; the team's experience flows into all three business units: the development of blacklens.io, cyber defence at ACDC and our consulting projects. It is complemented by a network of problem solvers that lets us deliver tailored solutions from a single provider.

snapSEC currently supports the daVinci Akademie Wels, Rollende Engel and Aurum79. We sponsor the daVinci Akademie, Rollende Engel fulfils the last wishes of seriously ill people across Austria, and at Aurum79 we support research in the field of health. Social responsibility is part of who we are: we promote education, support non-profit projects and contribute to environmental and social causes. In the past we have also supported, among others, the Pfadfinder Ried im Innkreis scout group, Hallo Welt!, SOS Balkanroute and ALCCU Austria.
